“GYPSY” AUDITIONS
at the
ACTORS CONSERVATORY THEATRE
20 Buckingham Road (off Lockwood Avenue), Yonkers
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY
SEPT. 7 AND 8 AT 7PM
CALLBACKS – SEPT. 9 AT 7PM
CAST (ALL ROLES OPEN):
Baby June (age 8 to 12) must sing and dance
Baby Louise (age 8 to 12) must sing and dance
Rose, the Mother (ageless) must sing and move
Pop, Rose’s father – non singing
Newsboys –3 (ages 8 to 14) – must sing & dance
Herbie, Candy salesman and Rose’s manager, 40’s to 60’s
June, Rose’s daughter
Louise, Rose’s other daughter and Gypsy, the stripper
Tulsa, L.A., Yonkers, Angie – Farm Boys (ages 14 to 20) – must sing and dance
Miss Cratchitt, Secretary at Grantziger’s Palace – non-singing
Agnes, Marjorie May, Dolores, Thelma, Gail – the Hollywood Blondes (16 +)
Cigar, Theater manager in Wichita –non-singing
Pastey, Stage manager in Wichita – non-singing
Tessie Tura, Ballet stripper
Mazeppa, Trumpet stripper
Electra, lightbulb stripper
There are MANY smaller roles in GYPSY, i.e. children at an audition with their mothers, Uncle Jocko, show girls, etc., which will require minimal rehearsal time until the end of October.
Performances: Nov. 4, 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 2010 at Bryn Mawr Hall
SEPTEMBER 7 AUDITIONS – Children only from 7pm to 9pm

Be prepared to dance, sing and read if the role calls for it. Bring sheet music if you prefer not singing from the show.
