How a Merry Murder Mystery Works:
You arrange the location and food/beverage
service and ACT brings in the show!
--During the cocktail hour (optional), various
character roles are given out to guests by our actors (or the dossiers
may be distributed in advance of the event). The kit contains a
description of the character and their part in the mystery. These
people work along with the actors to create gossip and clues leading
up to the eventual mock murder. Other guests are drawn into the
activity through improvisational dialogue and keep track of "clues"
throughout the evening.
--Dancing and various contests continue until
the murder takes place. Our DJ/actor plays various music (thematic,
various eras, modern and line dances) throughout the evening.
--A "mock" murder is committed
on the floor, a detective enters and finally the guests vote for
the suspect they think committed the crime. A winner is drawn from
all the correct ballots and the "murderer" is taken away.
The fee for this event is negotiable and
includes the DJ, music, actors, and props, plus materials for each
character/guest. A deposit (refundable up to 60 days from the date
of the event) is required once a specific calendar date has been
confirmed, with the balance due at the event. Checks should be made
payable to ACT.
Please do not hesitate to contact ACT for
a description of the various mystery themes available. We would
enjoy the opportunity to work with you and will provide promotional
support through sample invitations/flyers, clip art, etc., to assist
you.
