On July 11, 2022, we lost our Founder and President, Arlene Wendt.

In 1975, Arlene had a dream of bringing theater of the highest quality to the people of Westchester. With just $1,000, husband Ernie by her side, and good friends, Gail Gash and Carol Kerner, ACT was born.

Arlene dedicated her life to the arts - as a performer, writer, director and supporter.  She directed over 100 plays and received many arts achievement awards.  Her legacy will live on in ACT's mission:  to foster an innovative, creative, thriving theater community.
