CHARACTERS:

 

Jonny Warner: The "bad boy" rebel from the wrong side of the tracks who falls for good girl Toffee; after she's forced to break up with him, he tragically jumps into a nuclear waste dump and returns as a glowing zombie, determined to win her back and take her to the senior prom, becoming a symbol of forbidden love and challenging school rules. He's earnest, sincere, and represents themes of love, acceptance, and outcasting.

 

Toffee: The classic "good girl", sweet and earnest, from the "right side of the tracks," who falls for the rebel bad boy Jonny; she's initially forced to break up with him, leading to his death and return as a zombie, but ultimately chooses forbidden love, finding true connection despite his undead state.

 

Delilah Strict: the principal of Enrico Fermi High School, the school Jonny and Toffee attend. True to her name, she is extremely harsh and rigidly adheres to rules and tradition.

 

Eddie Flagrante: An investigative reporter for Exposé Magazine. Very determined and inquisitive.

 

Jake: A popular, sweet-natured heartthrob in love with Candy.

 

Joey: Athletic, but not the brightest.

 

Josh: A brainy, nerdy aspiring journalist who covers Jonny's zombie rebirth for the school paper.

 

(All three are Jonny’s friends and comedic characters.)  

 

Candy: Nervous and hyper, she is often seen chewing her nails. She can sometimes be an "agent of chaos.”

 

Ginger: The class nerd, Ginger is kind, smart, and adheres to the rules and social norms of the school.

 

Coco: Has a dry, sarcastic wit and a "seen-it-all" attitude. She is on the "catty side” and is rarely seen without her baton.

 

ALSO - Various classmates and other people who are a part of Enrico Fermi High School.
